The Great Fire Of London.

In September 1666 there was a fire in London. It started in Pudding Lane. A spark flew onto
the floor and the bakery caught on fire. It spread to the homes very quickly. Soon the whole city was on fire. You could see from wall to wall. People threw buckets of water at the fire. Only 10 people died. People used  hooks to hook down the homes to stop the fire spreading. People ran away as fast as they could. The place was cramped and dry. 13,000 homes were burnt to a crisp. The lord mayor did not know what to do. 90 churches burnt. On the 6th of September it was back.
